Out of the box we love the way this looks it's really compact low profile and takes up so much less room than before it's a small footprint and it's very quiet I don't think it has a fan. It loads very quickly. I love the simple remote and the one button to get to Netflix I haven't found a way yet to have it turn on my TV which is a Samsung. But I haven't looked on the web yet. But it's still terrific. The question now will be just how long will it last. Good job Sony.

Love this player, my second one. (One for each TV that is not a smart TV) my only complaint is Sony should incorporate a Bluetooth keyboard or the ability to use one. (I believe a USB one can be used but it would be corded....). Still 5 stars as its very easy to maneuver through and use.

I love the way this has added services available. I use the USB connection and the feature of viewing Youtube videos more than I play DVDs. I am amazed as to the movies and TV series that I have found on Youtube. Better than paying for TV services that more often than not have nothing of interest to watch.

Almost excellent

The disc player itself is great, but the remote is badly designed. The playing of discs has been flawless, with functions working smoothly. While streaming content I have never had it buffer the program.
Even after three months of using the remote I am constantly hitting the wrong buttons. I can't use this remote by feel, since the buttons are crowded together and have very little distinction to the touch. I can only find the correct buttons by looking at the remote. The remote of my prior Sony disc player was much, much better.

Plays Great-Lots of Extras

Plays good, can really tell the difference of blu-ray, lots of extra programs to access. Only negative is it is hard to tell when the power is on, and no display counter.

im not the smartest person when it comes to tv electronics, but I did my research and found this to be the ultimate package. it keeps me up at night serchning through all the apps it has. there is almost something new everyday for me to explore. I love love love this player. would highly recommend to even the novice of people.
