Meets all my expectations

Wanted to add a DVD player to my home entertainment system that would support UHD and 3D. The Sony product more than met my expectations.

Had to replace another Sony that failed in 12 mon

I have a new blu-ray, 3D Sony player that will no longer play DVDs (less than 12 months old). I have it connected thru a Control4 system. So I needed a player that responds to the same signals from Control4. Hence the lower cost Sony blu-ray. Now I have a $300+ Sony 3D that won't play DVD's and don't know what to do with it. Please advise. Thanks,

Hello abeck6347, thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We noticed you are experiencing some difficulties with your Sony Blu-ray disc player.
Here are some steps below:
1. Use a soft cloth to clean the disc; the disc may have fingerprints or smudges. 2. Examine the disc for any cracks or scratches that might be interfering with playback. 3. If attempting to play a DVD-R, DVD-RW or other recordable DVD format, make sure the disc format is compatible with the DVD player. 4. Attempt to play another disc. 5. If the issue still unresolved, please make sure to have the latest firmware version.

*Try doing a power reset:
1. Remove the disc from the DVD player. 2. Turn off the DVD player. 3. Unplug the power cord of the DVD player from the AC outlet. 4. Let the DVD player remain without power for 1 minute. 5. Plug the power cord back into the AC outlet. 6. Turn on the DVD player. 7. Insert the disc into the DVD player. 8. Attempt to play the disc.
My Sony Blue Ray unit that came with my home theater died right after the warranty expired so I picked this unit up to keep our entertainment going over the holidays. It works like advertised and very little set up since we already had all of the accounts required. I especially like the low profile and sleek design - very cool!

Great Blu-ray player!

Wanted to have a smart tv,the best way besides buying a new tv was to buy a smart blu-ray player. We have a Sony bdp s790 hooked up to our other tv. A bdp-s790 was no longer available , so i looked at the bdp-s6200 and found it to be close to the bdp-s790 in features but not quite the build quality, but it was close enough to buy it. Works great , the remote is lacking, but still is ok. Had to stick with Sony for the quality. I would reccommend this unit.

Great player Netflix,Amazon prime ,come in HD clarity .it even up converts to make it sharper and clearer than my old player

Had no problems at all! The player supplies a great picture, 2D or 3D, on my 70" TV. Software updates applies easily almost by themselves! Number 4, 5, 6 or maybe more in a "collection" of Blu-ray players. Some I still use, a few I gave to friends, but all are working without any problems!
