Sony has done it again!!!

Easy setup, Easy access to all things. hooked it up to my surround sound system and Sony TV. Looks and sounds awesome!!! I have a playstation 3 and a Blu-ray 770 and this one enhances the look and sound even more than I expected. Very happy with the upgrade and features. The person who said he was taking his back probably didn't even know how to set the time on his VHS.!! This product outperforms all the competition!

Perfect Blu-Ray for 4K TV

This Blu-Ray player is the best if you have a 4K TV. It makes my normal Blu-Rays look 100 times more clear and doesn't take much time to load.

Un-expected Results

I use the player with my Sony 4K TV. It performs quite well,
and some Blu Ray discs look almost as detailed as 4K content
from the Sony media player. A pleasant surprise for me was
the TV screen info displayed when playing back music CD's...even
foreign titles! The album art is shown together with track info
and times for all tracks on the CD. I assume the player obtains
this info from its connection to the Internet.

My 18 month old Blu-ray DVD playet was patially chosen as a streaming portal for Netflix movies. Only problem? It had no capability to select subtitles, (or closed captioning as some describe it.) This can be useful when invariably the dialogue is drowned out by loud background music in the soundtrack.
Frustration with that missing feature lasted as long as I had used it, which wss almost daily.for 18 mths. Now the 6200 subtitle option is a breeze to select. It makes Netflix more valuable.DVD picture & sound is better too.

Absolute Top of the Range Player

I have tried other brands of Blu-ray players and found them well below the Sony standard. The 6200 series player is the best Sony machine yet! This is my fourth Sony Blu-ray, the others being replaced because I wanted the latest generation. I have found a "keeper"! This little beauty does everything I need including some things I will never use it for! The 1080p output makes the picture like looking through a window. Having a good HD television probably helps. I have some DVDs that were VHS transfers (not remastered) and it makes the transfers look terrific! The engineering staff at Sony had it together when they came up with this baby! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants the best and is tired of searching for it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

this is a big improvement over my 5 year old bluray player. for starters - it's much faster at loading bluray movies - this was the improvement I wanted the most. 2nd, paired with my sony 55 inch 4k tv, it adds even more detail to the picture!....and I didn't think that was possible. I also like the remote - it has a button to open and close the disc tray (my old player didn't) and it is slightly smaller than old remote - fits in my hand perfectly. so far I don't have any issues - it's a wonderful machine.
I will update review to reflect any mechanical/technical failures but so far I'm very impressed with this player.

Excellent Blu-ray player

This is our second Sony blu-ray player and we've been very happy with both of them. The original player was moved to the bedroom and the new one is connected to our 60 in TV. One of the best things is the quicker access speeds they now have. Older machines took forever to boot up and start playing. We highly recommend Sony players especially if they have wireless internet access.
