Great player

If your TV is not of the smart variety this is the next best thing. The built in wifi is far superior to past models. Graeat picture and sound once installed properly. Excellent value for price. This is why all my tv's and components are Sony. None better.

Nice player

As a bluray/dvd player, it's very good, plays most of my disks. The web browser feature isn't as good. It's menu interface is slow and clunky, and the performance of displaying the web content isn't as fast as my computer even though I have a fast internet connection.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello woogoob, thank you for your message. In regards to your concerns, we would like you to perform some troubleshooting steps.

The Internet connection speed can vary for many reasons. Below are the most common causes:

*Network Sharing
*Wireless Connection Strength
*Router Type
*Connection to Your ISP

Your ISP may be experiencing heavy Internet traffic. In this case, performance might be improved by manually changing the Primary DNS Server option to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.8.4 in the Network Settings menu.

Not impressed at all with this player..I have to re-boot it a few times every week to get it to turn on.

Sony delivers as expected

I purchased this Blu-ray player for streaming video to my TV. Even though I am well versed in the set up of audio/video/compter systems, I found the instructions clear enough that even a novice should have no trouble understanding the directions and could complete the set up successfully. I chose this particular model because of its positive reviews, which is something I expect from Sony products. I was not disappointed.

Easy to setup, Size is excellent.
After playing a few movies, love that the discs are not warm/hot to the touch, like some other systems.

great unit for the price

easy to setup requires one HDMI cable. Unit will stream or record Netflix,Hulu, and many more pay services. Play back with Sony soundbar is like sitting in a movie theater.

We returned it...

After a day, it would hang up and have to have the power cord disconnected in order for it to reset. We returned it for full refund.
