Lousy Remote

Blue Ray does deliver on the resolution but the remote is horrible and hard to use, reason why I give it 2 stars

great buy for the money

It's a great buy for the money. The movies and sound are great. the player its self is prettty small doesn't take up a lot of space on my entertainment center.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very Good Buy

DVD load fast, Netflix and others work as expected.
Right out of the box it would skip a track or two about a 1/3 of the way thru a dvd. I used a dvd disk cleaner to clean it and from then on it seemed ok. I just do not think it should have skipped like that when it was brand new. When I use wireless to do an instant video on Amazon, it stops part way thru the show and sometimes locks up or blanks out for a moment before going on. I have an older Sony dvd player that has never had this problem with Amazon. I have always thought Sony was great and own a Sony tv also, but my friends are recommending that I get Samsung products in the future.

Hi WebsterDM, Please make sure that the player has the latest firmware.
You may also try resetting the player.
1. Reset the unit to Factory Default Settings.
SETUP > Resetting > Reset to factory default setting > All
Settings
2. Refresh Internet Content
Setup > Resetting > Initialize Personal Information.
3. Go to VIDEO > Internet video.

Disappointment

For some reason it will cut off the sound for about 3 seconds at random times, when watching a DVD or watching Netflix. Furthermore it is slow and resets constantly.
I will not buy any more Sony products. I purchased my sons Samsung BluRay players, and they don't have any problems.

Nice product, Nice price

I use this mainly for playing dvds, blu ray, and netflix streaming. Many other options, but that's all I've used. I have had the wi-fi disconnect several times, but it reconnects with a press of the button and don't know if that's my wi fi or the box issue. I am happy with it overall and was able to set it up on my own. (and I am not that tech savvy!)
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was needing a recorder to play pictures on my TV for my garden club and it did an excellent job in color and ease of running.
