You cannot tell how far you are through a video. The dvd player does not stay on the netflix email and password and it is not easy to reenter those.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Sony DVD Player

We bought a new Sony DVD player that was also able to display Blu-Ray disks. Although we haven't tried the Blue Ray yet, the DVD is working great. We are very pleased with this easy to use player. The compact size is ideal for our home.

Thanks to this player we can watch Amazon videos on a large screen. The remote has a dedicated Netflix button. There a lot of video and music choices. A very nice product for the price.

No support for pairing remote tuner with TV.

I am over all pleased with the performance of the Sony DVD player. The picture is clear and bright. My Wi-Fi connects and works well and was able to move my Roku player to another TV set.
The only thing I am disappointed in is that neither manual or online site give any support for pairing the DVD's remote with my TV. Therefor I have to use the TV's remote to control the volume and turning the TV off and on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Purchase Ever

I bought this streaming Blu-ray player on Black Friday at a really good price and I absolutely love it. I don't have cable so this helps out a lot as far as giving me things to watch, There are so many apps on here. I mainly stick to Hulu and Youtube but I would recommend this to any and everyone. Its easy to use and easy to install.

Tried about 7 seven times to update It would never work. Finally just went and bought a LG. updates on its own. No more Sony products for me...
