great way to get TV content

We bought the Disc player a month ago. We wanted to get internet content to our LCD TV which has a minimal cable package. The set-up works great. We enjoy rented blu-ray discs as well. Not a bad price for all that technology.

very good all in one device

hardwired to the internet, works well for Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Videos, Sony Bravia TV remote can be interchanged with this remote and VIsa-versa, does not have VEVO as a channel. No reboots, freezes and other issues with mine, I have been using it for 2 to 3 months now. DVD'S and Blu-ray play excellent

Updates firmware easily. Excellent picture and host of choices. I like the dedicated subtitles button on the remote to turn on, turn off subtitles. The slightly raised crisscross pattern on top of player is still flat enough to hold the remote and DVDs.. It may be my fault, but I can't regularly mark a spot to return to, if I pause the player for over 10 minutes or so. I have to start all over about half the time.. (I think using the stop button would cure this.) Half the time there is a resume screen, but that may be built into certain DVDs. So far 12 months of use, the player is very reliable.

The blu-ray works very well. However, when watching streaming content, the remote control operation is slow and unresponsive. We get VERY frustrated trying to pause as this usually starts and stops the program multiple times until the player settles on what it wants to do.
Also, when switching from DVD to steaming, we not only have to turn it off, we sometimes have to unplug the unit to get it to work properly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
