I talked to my brother who installed a very expensive, different brand natural gas stove top, and told me about the difficulties, such as it not doing well on simmer, and the front taking up the main area of the stove. Also his lacked a variety of sizes of burners. The GE has no problem simmering. I left ham hocks on for eight hours, and they simmered perfectly. There are different sizes of burners too, and even though an installer suggested it might be a problem, it has not. I'm really satisfied.

Love cooking on this stove. It's so easy to use and cooks evenly on warped pans. Can't do that on electric ranges.

Overall the range works pretty well. It would be nice if the center burner was even bigger so you could use a griddle to cook. I like the fact it is pretty easy to clean.

Finally upgraded to the Bigger Model!!

Installed the 30inch when we moved in. That was the size of the hole from the old electric. Never really liked that I could not put a lot pf pans on the 30 inch so finally got the 36 inch model. Cutting the granite and cabinets was easy and now I am happy! I can finally make a large meal with ease. I am in Colorado at 7000 feet and the power burner is great. Really helps reduce the time for water to boil. Easy to clean just be careful not to scratch the surfaces. Use regular sponge. Happy with my upgrade!

This item has worked fine for the 3 months I've had it, but my last similar GE stovetop was only 12 years old and could not be fixed.

I love the look. Little did I know how hard it is to keep clean and get the shine without buffing it. Also will not simmer. The flame must be set too high even on low food burns.

Great Stove Top

I have been buying GE products for 30 years and so happy I bought this one last month. This stove top is so easy and efficient. We do a lot of cooking and cook with large capacity pans. The simmer burner is perfect and our wok works great with high heat.
