Cooks fine surface scratches easy

I've had this for almost a year. It looks nice but the finish doesn't stand up to the heavy grates. The grates are really heavy and the surface finish is light. It scratches. Cooks fine.

An Overall Improvement

I replaced an older 36" Profile cooktop (almost 15 years old) with the new unit. I like the lit knobs and the cast iron grates. The improved sealed burners are easier to clean, the old unit had a glass top and didn't transfer heat. I've had to break the habit of resting my hand on the edge of the cooktop. I broke that habit rather quickly. The burner layout took some getting used to as well, but overall it was a good purchase.

Love how the rack prevents pots/skillets from moving around, love the safety feature for kids, heats up and cools down fast. Overall great product.

Love my gas cooktop

Have never used gas cooktop before and was worried I would burn or not cook food correctly. It has been a joy cooking with gas. I LOVE my gas cooktop and don't know why I never had one before.

LP conversion

I love the cooktop but I don't think the burners are as hot or function as they should compared to natural gas at my previous home. I am positive the power burner won't boil water quickly at all yet the builder tells me it was done correctly. I don't see a choke or set screw as mentioned in the installation instructions but who am I to argue I guess. Disappointing.

Love the lighted knobs, the light weight grids and the power boil feature for large cookware is a bonus. Even heating and clean flames are also nice.

I've only had this cooktop for 2 weeks and really love it. Had a GE Profile cooktop for 20 years and it was difficult to clean. This one is wonderful that you can put the burners in the dishwasher. I did have a problem with one of the burner caps after frying. Some olive oil splashed on the burner cap and I tried cleaning it after the cooktop cooled but it left grease spatters all over the burner cap. I soaked it in hot water and detergent but it still would not come off. I called GE and they are sending me a new one. Hope this does not happen again.

Nice Design and Layout

This gas cooktop replaced the one we had and while it is essentially the same model, the new version has a better design.
