The biggest problem is the burners are physically too large. Logically you would think the burner configuration would be 6" pot for the 5K burner, 8" for the 9K, 10" for the 11K and 12" for the 17K but putting the burner on high will send most of the heat up the sides on those pan sizes. Flame shoots out horizontally pushing the heat to the edges and the grates are a little too high off the burners. Just like other reviews it takes forever to boil water. I do like the thick cast iron grates and the appearance, just needs to function better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New home purchased 6 months ago. We had the option of selecting GE appliances from the builder. We selected this item solely on the design and look. It does look great. ISSUE - power boil is a joke ISSUE - grate is too high from flame We have been told by repair people that this is a common complaint by people.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love cooking with gas!
