Burners have different "speeds"

I like this cooktop very much. I noticed some reviewers complained that it "took forever" to boil water. Please note that some of the burners are more powerful than others on this model:
Burner - Left Front 9,100 BTU
Burner - Left Rear 9,100 BTU
Burner - Right Front 11,000 BTU
Burner - Right Rear 5,000 BTU Precise Simmer (don't use to boil water here!!!)
Burner - Center 17,000 BTU Power Boil
Burner - Left Rear 9,100 BTU
Burner - Right Front 11,000 BTU
Burner - Right Rear 5,000 BTU Precise Simmer (don't use to boil water here!!!)
Burner - Center 17,000 BTU Power Boil

Needs reenginering

I chose this as an upgrade in our new home. Grate too far off the flame. Scratches extremely easily. The grates are rough and the stainless top constructed of cheap soft stainless steel. It is an attractive cooktop, if that is what your looking for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

After being at the mercy of contractors and installation of our new counter top for a month now I finally got my cook top installed. I am very pleased with all the features of the knobs and the safety to protect little hands. People reviews that I've read before purchasing was a concern but I find no problem with heating water or cooking. I can't wait to use the big burner to make soup in my stock pot. We also purchased a wall oven which we are very pleased with. Thank You GE.

Great unit, looks nice, but grate is too high

This is a great unit with good features including safety lock. But one disappointing experience is that grate is too high and cooking takes longer than the old one I replace. Not sure why it is designed that way.
