I wanted this phone to replace my aging iPhone but from day 1 I had trouble. It would consistently run through its battery in under 4 hours(with no hands on usage). After I download a 3rd party app to manage the battery, I noticed that the phone would power off without human interaction. I could leave it on a table and come back and the phone would be off. To restart it I had to re-seed the battery. Now I want to update grade the firmware and Samsung Kies can't connect to the phone. For all of these issue there many blogs with people having the same issue. I really wanted to like this phone and use it to replace my iPhone 4 but it completely fails to work as it is designed. The positive thing I can say is there it have a GREAT screen.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, poor battery life, inconsistent hw performance
This andriod is highly customizeable and has incredible features and is an overall great product for not just the avid everyday user but also the tech junkie who loves extra's and features. The andriod platform is incrediblely stable and the camera's on this take vivid crisp and absolutely awesome photos.
The Galaxy S2 was my upgrade from the Captivate. I am very happy overall with this phone, although there has been some issues with the battery getting hot and draining for no apparent reason, and the phone shutting off for no apparent reason, I see in the forums many people have had this issue and there seems to be no one fix. However this is an intermittent problem that appears to go away on its own for a time. I like the S2
Pros: Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, flash camera
I came from a low end smart phone and i was fed up with it. So i decided to go with a top of the line phone that had a good price. This is what i chose and i couldn't be happier! Great price, great design and overall a good phone. I haven't had any problems with this phone. The only thing is i would like more support for the phone and better update process.
When I purchased this phone I was looking for high quality smartphones that would allow me to do more than just make calls and send text. I needed it for data usage as well. My old smartphone did not perform as well as I had hoped but it was good while I had it but now I needed my phone to do more and be able to go to websites that had Windows based software. This phone was also offered at a great value so I bought and have not regretted my decision yet. I will stay with this phone for a while. I really like the feature of being able to add more data storage and not just being limited to 16 MB, 32 MB or 64 MB, I can alter how much I have as I go along. If I need more then I buy another card to add to the phone. Most of my co-workers have Samsung phones, my family has other smartphones besides Samsung but I was happy with this phone and all it had to offer plus most of the apps are free and not useless, pointless apps that I did not want.
I have had this phone for about 3 weeks now, I love how fast and responsive it is. It takes great pictures, and the screen has wonderful colors, and video. I have not had any problems with my battery so far, I use it while at work for 12 hours and it never goes below 50%, and i use it for the internet a lot during the day. It has frozen on me once, but it isn't really a major issue, a simple restart and it fixes it. All in all I am very pleased with My Galaxy SII.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, fast, not to bulky.
