What an amazing phone

I am an iPhone 4 convert and cannot say enough good things about this phone. It does everything well. Extremely fast, gorgeous camera and screen. Other than it missing some of the features the international version has ie., FM Radio, NFC and a couple other smaller things it is amazing they can fit so much into such a thin design. Battery life is acceptable. It gets me through the day just fine. Buy this phone. You won't be disappointed!!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

Better than my iPhone

I have had this phone for two weeks now and I cant believe that I had multiple iPhones over a 4 year period without even looking at an Android device. It is like moving from a regular operating system to an open source operating system. Plus, the Galaxy S2 is incredible and has enough power and functionality to accomplish anything I can think of.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

If only kies air worked...

This phone has been great in almost every area- looks, performance, graphics, camera, picture quality, etc.. The only problem I have with it is that I can't seem to connect with Kies Air to my computer..

After using a plethora of devices including iPhone and Sony Ericsson P series and Blackberry, I finally moved into the Android zone with the Samsung Galaxy SII. Boy, am I surprised? The speed, the display crispness, the flexibility of the OS, the performance of the camera and video - just about everything blows me away. This phone is not called the iPhone beater for nothing. I do not know if I would ever go back to the iPhone! Android is way too classy, Samsung Galaxy SII makes it stellar!
PS: I still have to figure out a way to extend battery life. But I will get there... :-)

Great Phone, Battery Life Info

The phone itself is excellent! If you read other site's specs on the phone, an FM Radio is mentioned. I can't find it.
To improve battery life, switch off packet data. Turn on when you know you'll be using.
Comfortable to hold! Easy to maneuver!
Micro SD Card is only accessible when battery is removed, the Captivate did not have this issue.
Camera and LED flash work great! 1080P video is awesome!

i left my iphone for this? while i like the phones speed, it's button placement is horrible. the "sleep" button is on the opp side of the volume buttons; they get pushed a lot while i try to unlock the button. the OS is so restrictive. i can't (as far as i know) sync with my outlook contacts. i don't know of any device that won't let you sync with outlook until now. i can't customize many of the features. i don't want that default ring when i get a new email. the notifications method ought to be more flexible. i can't clear individual notifications - it's all or nothing. after opening, the notification window shade just wants to be down no matter what. i have to slide that thing up lots of times before it will stay up.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
