I am not a gamer or rabid phone user but the battery life on this phone is very poor. The quality of the screen is also poor. I dropped the phone about 10 inches in my bathroom onto a bathroom rug and it shattered the screen. I have NEVER broken a phone in all the years I have had cell phones. This is very poor design. Other than that the phone is great. Great features...
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, battery
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Phone!

I'm a little old school having migrated from a Nokia E61, to the Samsung Galaxy II. I service a lot of blackberries in my field and have a lot of peers that tried to convince me to go with either Apple's iPhone or a droid. I'm glad that I waited and picked this model with the droid OS!
The screen is large enough for me to not have to squint to look at, and amazingly sharp from any veiwing angle. There are more apps than I will ever need from the Android Market, and it allows me to jump on to WiFi so I don't have to worry about downloading. I synch my email accounts before I leave the house and then look for any important stuff in my e-mail on the train. Of course I could respond over the carrier's network if I chose to, but this lets me prioritize my mornings and gives me something to do on the train ride in.
It's lightweight, fights nicely in my hand, and still can fit easily in my pocket. The only downside I have is because I didn't grow up accustomed to the touchscreen keyboard, but I am getting used to it. The spell check and auto complete help me navigate past that relic of the past and affords a bigger screen and lighter weight phone.
All in all I'm very pleased. I'm thinking of trying the Galaxy Tab next. If it is anything like the phone, I'll be very happy.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, value, ease of use while still being complex
I would recommend this to a friend!

As a real fan of Apple I was full of anticipation for announcement of iPhone 5.
When 4s instead come up my level of disappointment was so huge that after short
research in the market I decided to replace my iPhone with Samsung Galaxy S2 and
meanwhile I was not disappointed with the choice even for a one single second.
I had/have a very positive experience with Samsung products and this one only
increased my believe on quality & superiority of the Samsung in the modern tech.
market. The device itself fabulous - slim body, fabulous clear and sized screen, great performance.
I like customization options - with Android you can make it personalized in the level
you can't achieve with any other OS. To conclude - my wife which has an extremely conservative
taste gave up as well, replaced iPhone with Samsung & absolutely happy about it.
Waiting for S3 to be released -)
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, slim body, performance
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best phone I've owned yet

I switched from an iPhone 4 and couldn't be happier. Although the resolution isn't as high as the iPhone 4, I'm much happier with the larger display and I'm equally happy with the clarity.
I'm extremely happy with the performance and camera/video as well. I've not found any other smartphone currently on the market that I'd prefer over this one.
Switching to an Android device took a little getting used to after having used IOS for an number of years but I now prefer it. The flexibility of this OS is also a big plus.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

I upgraded from another brand of phone that was excellent retrieving and sending emails. The Samsung Galaxy S II is not quite as good, but proved to be very efficient in adding email accounts. The camera and video are outstanding. The phone is very fast and well built. And last but not least, the screen is absolutely gorgeous.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: battery cover could be stonger
I would recommend this to a friend!
