This phone is really worthy of all the rave reviews its getting. It is by far the best phone I have ever used and no other phone can hold a candle to it ! I am a very heavy user of phones (you know the kind who'll just find ways to use it more ! ) and this phone lasts me more than a day on a single charge ! Con : My provider's version has a serious flaw . The locking method can be very easily by-passed .. that is unsettling and I hope is fixed soon. But other than that .. smacking good phone.
I have had a lot of cell phones all the way back to the Motorola brick. In that there have been a lot of smart phones going back to the clickwheel Blackberry. This is by far the most powerful device I have owned. I am not an Android fan boy though. I love the Samsung Super Amoled + display. Some say over saturated, but a bright colorful display is superior to a drab washed out display. I still feel my old iPhone 4 was slightly better but it was only 3.5 inches. The phone itself is great with the only exception being the cheap feeling plastics. I suppose that translates into the low weight and thiness though. I love the call quality and external speaker. It is fast and does multi task well. The pricing is good right now too. Camera pics were really good outdoors but indoors they were a bit dark. Indoors with flash had a bluelight effect. The video is great also. It is also very easy to use the menues were self explanitory and I quickly adopted the widgets etc... The Android keyboars are still too cramped. I had to get a new one from the market. I suggest a samsung keyboard that is a little more spaced and has sub menues for the things that cramp the current keyboards. Buy it live with it a love it. I know the new greatest thing will be out months from the time you buy this but this is one that will last through a 2 year contract.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight, camera and video
I was eligable for an upgrade after 2yrs in Nov. I did a TON of research online. Probably watched 100 videos on different phones and this one caught my attention. I've owned iphones, blackberries, etc. This phone decimates all the others. It is amazingly fast at EVERYTHING, even without wifi!!! I show it of constantly, and now all my friends want one :) Hands down the smartest decision i've made in a while:) I'm a diehard galaxy s 2 fan now. Can't get enough.
I recently switched from an iPhone 4 to this and I was so glad that I did. I totally love this phone and I must say that this really is the real iPhone killer! It is light, feature packed, fast, and just an unbelievable display!
This is by far the best phone I've ever had...I've had the iphone, captivate, inspire, and now this phone. What I use my phone for is email, web searches, texting, and of course phone calls. The phone is superior to any phone I've ever used! Email is awesome, it opens emails instantly and is so fast opening attachments. This phone actually opens attachments as fast as my laptop running an i5 processor. Call quality is amazing, even on speaker phone. The phone links up with bluetooth super fast as well. The screen is amazing...didn't i mention the phone is amazing? Oh and to top it all off, the battery life is far superior to any phone I've ever used. All around great phone, I would recommend it to any one.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, amazingly quick, doesn't have an apple on it
I got this phone based on my sons recommendation. And i just love it.. Many features the only one that i wish it had was a led notification like my old phone did but other than that battery life is good pics are amazing
I upgraded from an iphone 4 almost a week ago. I was skeptical and didnt know if i wanted to get the iphone 4s. I was disappointed that it wasnt an iphone 5 to begin with and i got bored of the features of IOS, i didnt like being locked in and just getting what the phone came with. The galaxy s2 is my fist android phone and i love it! the screen and camera look amazing and the flash is bright, i like the big screen and the power button on the side, (love the fact that it doesnt have a mute switch that can get flipped in my pocket which my iphones did) I also love that it just has touch buttons and not a home button and the setting button is always in the same place and gets integrated into every page you go on. the phone is amazingly thin and light, i cant even feel it in my pocket sometimes. the phone screens are smooth as butter and multitasking is way better then IOS and the apps actually stay running, you will need an app killer to save battery though. This phone has a better battery life then my iphone 4 did. In the week that i have had the phone, it does freeze for a couple seconds every now an then but only when im on the internet or have like 6 apps running in the background. It did freeze once so bad that i had to reboot the phone. I never had freezing and locking problems with the iphone but i doesnt happen on this phone enough to bother me. Also when i set a password on the lockscreen and i hit the lock button a few times, it will eventually come up without the password which is a big security issue for me but, i hardly let people see my phone anyway and i never leave it out for people to get a hold of. In the en GREAT PHONE! good looking and smooth as a babies rump! as thin as an ipod touch and very light! love the expandable memory! Dont get locked in with apple! find freedom with the galaxy s2!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, smooth, nice looking, great screen, great camera, too many to list, batery life
Cons: freezes occationaly, will not charge if you are using it on charger
