I switched from an iPhone 4 and couldn't be happier. Although the resolution isn't as high as the iPhone 4, I'm much happier with the larger display and I'm equally happy with the clarity. I'm extremely happy with the performance and camera/video as well. I've not found any other smartphone currently on the market that I'd prefer over this one. Switching to an Android device took a little getting used to after having used IOS for an number of years but I now prefer it. The flexibility of this OS is also a big plus.
As a real fan of Apple I was full of anticipation for announcement of iPhone 5. When 4s instead come up my level of disappointment was so huge that after short research in the market I decided to replace my iPhone with Samsung Galaxy S2 and meanwhile I was not disappointed with the choice even for a one single second. I had/have a very positive experience with Samsung products and this one only increased my believe on quality & superiority of the Samsung in the modern tech. market. The device itself fabulous - slim body, fabulous clear and sized screen, great performance. I like customization options - with Android you can make it personalized in the level you can't achieve with any other OS. To conclude - my wife which has an extremely conservative taste gave up as well, replaced iPhone with Samsung & absolutely happy about it. Waiting for S3 to be released -)
Having used mobile phones from various makers since the time of bag phones... The Galaxy S II, is the phone by which all others should be judged! Easy to use, manages all aspects of life that you desire...
Recommended to all... And Samsung has a great reputation for standing behind thier products!
i had my blackberry 8900 for a couple years before i upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy S2. i was hesitant to upgrade. i was pushing more towards the iphone 5 but when i found out it was a 4s and NOT 4G i went for this. The screen is huge and the weight of the phone is awesome. fits in my back pocket. I'm still fooling around with all the features and it amazes me everytime. i'm glad i made this choice.
