Selected the Skyrocket instead

I first selected the SII and didn't consider the Skyrocket. The pricing was about the same with a contract when I purchased my phone. Since I had a chance to think about it, I traded in the SII for the SII Skyrocket. Now, I am glad I did. The form factor of the larger phone is handy, easy to use, and looks great. The processor in the Skyrocket is a bit faster too. This is all ancient history but it is interesting to see what happens with the SIII.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: batteries can always be better

IPhone don't got nothing on this I had it don't want it after seeing what my phone can do its a great up beat in life

I really wanted to like this phone.

I wanted this phone to replace my aging iPhone but from day 1 I had trouble. It would consistently run through its battery in under 4 hours(with no hands on usage). After I download a 3rd party app to manage the battery, I noticed that the phone would power off without human interaction. I could leave it on a table and come back and the phone would be off. To restart it I had to re-seed the battery. Now I want to update grade the firmware and Samsung Kies can't connect to the phone. For all of these issue there many blogs with people having the same issue. I really wanted to like this phone and use it to replace my iPhone 4 but it completely fails to work as it is designed. The positive thing I can say is there it have a GREAT screen.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, poor battery life, inconsistent hw performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

3 days and I have not put it down.Watch out Iphone you may have lost a customer.

I Loved The Captivate

But wow!
This phone takes everything to a whole new level! I camped outside the store on release day to be sure I would get one, and I'm glad I did! They sold out quick here. This phone is amazing, and I must admit, I'm already waiting to see what the Galaxy S III will bring! The AMOLED screen is even better on this than I thought on the Captivate, and the camera is the best cell phone camera I've ever used!
