Great phone but the battery...

This phone is really fast, great display and Android 2.3.4 is really good but it will drain the battery really quick. I can't get a full day with only one charge. I'm only using gmail synced account with contacts, no games, and only casual browsing. All i can get is 3 hours of constant use and no more of 12 hours until it is completely drained. AT&T bloatware also consume a lot of battery and you can't remove it by normal means. Another con is the WiFi reception is not that bad but is noticeable weaker that an iPhone 3GS.
I have had Blackberry phones, Motorola Droid, and played with a friend's HTC phone a lot. Samsung has set the bar high with the GS2. The iPhone 4s was just announced... 1 year after the GS2 came out, and it is still behind Samsung on every level in my opinion, especially on processing speeds and with the Android Marketplace accumulating so many apps. Great phone. Love it. If Samsung has a GS3, I'll buy it too. Keep up the good work Samsung!
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, super fast, innovative features like new motion sensing zoom
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm a little old school having migrated from a Nokia E61, to the Samsung Galaxy II. I service a lot of blackberries in my field and have a lot of peers that tried to convince me to go with either Apple's iPhone or a droid. I'm glad that I waited and picked this model with the droid OS!
The screen is large enough for me to not have to squint to look at, and amazingly sharp from any veiwing angle. There are more apps than I will ever need from the Android Market, and it allows me to jump on to WiFi so I don't have to worry about downloading. I synch my email accounts before I leave the house and then look for any important stuff in my e-mail on the train. Of course I could respond over the carrier's network if I chose to, but this lets me prioritize my mornings and gives me something to do on the train ride in.
It's lightweight, fights nicely in my hand, and still can fit easily in my pocket. The only downside I have is because I didn't grow up accustomed to the touchscreen keyboard, but I am getting used to it. The spell check and auto complete help me navigate past that relic of the past and affords a bigger screen and lighter weight phone.
All in all I'm very pleased. I'm thinking of trying the Galaxy Tab next. If it is anything like the phone, I'll be very happy.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, value, ease of use while still being complex
I would recommend this to a friend!

Samsung Galaxy S II - Best Smart Phone Ever!

Prior to becoming a Samsung customer, I've sampled every top selling Android brand available. I concluded that Samsung has packaged the best of everything into their smartphones and decided to purchase a Galaxy S in 2010.
A couple of weeks ago in my search for the latest and greatest, I purchased the new Galaxy SII on the first day it was available. This is an unbelievably FAST, feature-filled smartphone. Would recommended to anyone looking for the phone with the 'complete package'! Being a former iPhone owner, and recently testing the iPhone 4S, I would say the Galaxy S II wins in comparison. While the iPhone 4S is a good performer, the Samsung internet experience is faster and with Flash, smooth as silk, and incredibly less fragile than the iPhone. You also get to enjoy the freedom of Android and don't have to be shackled by the proprietary nonsense of Apple.
In searching for a negative, I believe that the Samsung WIFI connection needs to be stronger.
So if you're looking for a 'smart' smartphone with it all, the Samsung Galaxy IIS is the best there is right now!
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, very fast processor
Cons: wifi strength could be better!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The best mobile phone that ever had. Really amazing devices. I replaced my tablet for that phone.
I started with an early windows smartphone, then to the iPhone and then a large Android smartphone. Though I enjoyed each of the previous smartphones, my Samsung Galaxy S2 is by far the best. I bought it for myself but after only having it for a few days, I bought the same for my wife and son. They love it. The screen is awesome and voice command is great. I would recommend this phone to everyone.
Pros: Display, GPS, Camera, Speed and the list goes on Cons: Phone get overheated occasionally ( mainly when you play certain games). Also I wish the speaker was a bit louder
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wow – Unbelievable phone < got 2 to start >
This is my first Smartphone We upgraded from BB's > I use my Phone of Work and play - the only Ding is the battery, but given how much I do with this device it is no wonder the battery is used up so quickly < overall this is not a problem but if Your out on the road a lot you may want to Bring a spare battery if your really Remote as I am from time to time...
This phone is amazing and I will never go back to BB. I have had the phone for about 5 days – honestly took me a bit of time to convert but inside of a few hours I was using for everything I needed to and Learning more every day. The Screen is amazing and the features are everything I need and more. I have very seldom used my laptop PC in the 5 days I have had this phone and mostly to transfer data to the phone I use routinely and Sync up contacts and Calendar.
I highly recommend this phone for anyone going to upgrade
BTW- my close relatives have HTC and Apple Phones and want to use mine all the time now… I think that pretty much says it all
