I totally like this phone. It has many useful features and access to many plenty of apps in the Marketplace. This phone is really fast, especially compared to others I've used. Originally bought this phone because it was recommended and I haven't been disappointed at all.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, fast performance
My daughter purchased this phone for me 3 weeks ago and I am loving it. I particularly like the feature that lets you speak your text messages. Someitime what I say is not typed correctly, but it still works great. I am still figuring out some of the features, but have no complaints about it thus far.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
this is as big as a phone should ever be and works like a galaxy-perfect,nexus is to big and another 100 bucks, and new s2 firmware soon,it's the best available
I switched from an iphone 4 to this phone and am extremly happy I did. The abilty to customize this phone to your taste is probably one of the hundreds of great things about it.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, 8mp pixel is awesome
Cons: as with all smartphones battery life is poor
The SGSII is an amazing product. The best phone I've ever had so far. Samsung really pushed the envelope on this one. It's fast, lightweight, and superior in technical features. It has 4G HSPA+, which makes it a lot faster in the city and fairly faster in everywhere 3G is located. The dual core processor makes it faster than my computer. I enjoyed all of the Samsung apps integrated with it which have really helped. There is a lot of bloatware to start out with however. The screen is fantastic in quality. The gorilla glass v.2 has helped drops, so now I only have a couple of very minor scratches. The frames is beautiful and well constructed. I would recommend it to anyone. The only flaws that I would like to point out is the back plastic cover which isn't perfect, so whenever I use it, the back cover makes a squeaky noise. The promised NFC is restricted for some odd reason. Also the speaker gets quieter over time.
so far the only downside that i see is that it don't have a blinking light indicating missed call and that you can't a contact phone number to go straight to voicemail. Other then that i love it.
The phone's design is awesome. The Android OS is good. It promises too many things, but there is too little follow through. It has all these million features, but almost all them not finish or buggy. My Samsung Blue Gmail app crashes other people's phones when they reply to my emails. If I use the regular gmail app then it is OK, but I hate the conversation mode!! There is no spell check at all. The copy cat of SIRI does not recognize me nor my friends at all. There has been an update ICS for like how many months? I still don't have the update yet. Google map always shows about 2-3 blocks away from my location unless it is navigating it. The WEB pages are really bad. Everything is pin pon. Nothing smooth about them. When you receive a phone call from a number that you don't recognize, you have to memorize the # to search for it online. Because galaxy s2 won't copy the # for some odd reason. All these basic stuff that should be done in a SMARTPHONE this phone lacks. Also, last thing, push email fails to push few emails a day.
Likely, I have a Samsung tv that I can be proud of. This phone, no WAY!!! If you have the choice, then, I would go with something else.
P.S. OMG, how can I forget about the bad call quality?Yeah, it is pretty bad. People always makes me repeat myself and this makes me furious. I can't hear them too, though. :) :)
