Shaver works well on face. My two problems: This one does not have an additional shaving edge like your older models did that allowed a closer shave in places like your ears and back neck areas. And, changing the shaving heads is too difficult. On an older one I tried replacing them and could not get the shaver together again.
This is a decent Norelco shaver that is easy to use and clean. The only downside I noticed is that is does not shave as close as my previous Norelco shavers. This is my forth one and I probably would not have liked any other brand.
I was disappointed with the closeness (or lack thereof) results. Being realistic, I wouldn't expect it to be as close as a razor; however, I did expect results better than my cheap AA batteried razor. All I wanted was to "smooth out" a 5 o'clock shadow...
Sometimes replacement blades don't last very long. Have recently read the caution that says not to change the location of heads after cleaning. Am now trying this...
Pros: internet replacement of blades-cheaper than stores
I am almost 72 years old. This is my first electric Shaver. My purchase came about due to having Carotid Artery Surgery on my right side. In the Hospital Guidlines a electric shave was a must as I had a scar from my lower middle neck to just the back of my right ear. The purpose of the shaver was to avoid cutting open any stiches. The performance of the 6900LC was great as it cut through four days of growth and glided easily over the length of the incision without hurt. It was easy to clean. lightly tap the head and blow out the mounting base. It took a little getting use to as this was a first.
Pros: ease of use, nice design, fits easily into the use hand, can be used by a righty or lefty
