This is the first model I've owned that gave me razor burn. It is also the only model I've owned that doesn't have a trimmer. My only major complaint is that you have priced the heads as expensive as buying the whole shaver. Thus, instead of being able to replace the heads, I buy a new shaver for about the same price. Also, after a couple of years, you can't find the correct replacement heads, also necessitating replacing the whole shaver. It has become the American way - make the product with limited life.
The cord kept falling out of the shaver. Could not get anything close to a close shave. My husband is disabled & also has Alzheimer's and I was in need of something to shave him. This did not work out.
Cons: cord kept falling out, could not tell where we had shaved
The product has been cheepend up when compared to my old Norelco corded shaver that is 15 years old. The new one looks and feels of cheaper quality and probably won't last 15 years. My old Norelco came with a soft carrying case, the new one did not include a soft carrying case. This is just another example of the race to the bottom when quality is concerned. They definately do not make them like they used to make them. Sadly dissappointed.
My initial reaction was that it was under powered; however, I'm now pleased with the performance and have my fingers crossed it will maintain effectiveness over an extended period of time.
My previous Norelco was heavier and louder (and "top of the line"), hence my apprehension the first week or so using this model. My sense is this one won't hold up for 15 years (as my previous shaver did); but, so far, so good.
I was not able to use this shaver because I could not reach a power oulet where I shave. I really have no idea how good it is. I am making do with an old Norelco that will operate cordlessly. The new shaver remains in the box and will likely stay there since it was a gift..
