A local store advertised this basic shaver as a before Christmas special. I already own a rechargeable Norelco shaver and am not pleased with its performance. This plug in electric model works very well. Being a low cost, no frills model, there is no pop up trimmer. Other than that, this shaver odes the job and I would recommend it if you don't need a trimmer and/or the rechargeable capability. I was a bit surprised this shaver was made in China instead of the Netherlands. Given the price point at which this sells, perhaps I shouldn't have been.
I have for years been dissatisfied with shavers that were rechargeable. They just did not do the task like my "razor" did. My efforts to find an electric shaver only was successful. My Philips Norelco 6000 is being thoroughly enjoyed. A recommendation may be that the electical cord could be longer hence enabling me to plug the shaver in an outlet & view my shaving efforts in the medicine cabinet mirror more readily.
so far so good, I use it every few days to cut my hair and its been good. easy to clean, good design.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This product is light weight, and small enough to carry on overnite trips, does a close job. One defect is that when using the razor, the spring coil cord, when expands to the face pops out of the razor socket.
