I purchased a Brita Elite water filtration system a year ago and it peformed well until yesterday when I noticed a leak around the base where the filter sits. Action: I removed the filter and reseated it, but that did not resolve the problem. I then replace that filter with another (i.e., newer filter) but this did not resolve the problem. It is obvious that the base where the filter sits is defective.
