[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loaned out my last Crockpot and it never came back home. My friend bought me this as a replacement. It is fantastic. I have had slow cookers on and off my whole life and I never really noticed the brand, but this Crockpot is great, well made, does what it is supposed to do and very reasonably priced. Once you get over the hurdle of making a spot on the counter for it, you will be hooked. Best is get a roast, chicken, whatever is on sale, cook it in the Crockpot and then enjoy the leftovers the next day. Save all the bones, 'parts' and leftovers and make soup. Store and savor while you eat better food and save lots of money.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Electrical problem

System worked great. Loved it (Have another and like it to. Problem is the electrical cord strain relief makes for a 90 degree bend. Last night I got a spark- the insulation had brokemn and the wires shorted. My Hamilton Beach unit has a strain relief that turns the cord 90 degrees inside so there isn't that flexing of the cord.

7 qt manual slow cooker cracked stoneware

I only gave this a two - but wanted to give it a five... I love using a slow cooker, particularly for soups, pulled pork and corned beef. I decided to try the 7 quart size for those and was really happy with it until the black stoneware cracked. My smaller crock pot has lasted 30 years, so I was disappointed to lose my newest one.

Unstable

I recently purchased this crock pot for a family gathering. I've used this particular item once (but I have had many crock pot/slow cookers over the years). Upon preparing to use, I realized it only has 3 "legs," which makes it unstable. Rearranging my buffet took extra care as this crock pot is heavy when full, but cannot "slide" without risk of tipping. Who would design a product that's made to heat food (ie get HOT) with such an unstable footprint? It heated my food as expected, but I am quite disappointed in the design. Seems someone was not thinking.

This crock is great size, I always like to have a little extra capacity and this is plenty big. I love this crock and haven't had any problems.

I have this model and have used it for years. It's still going strong and I use it several times a week as a rule. I bought another one just like it and have had both going at one time which really made it very convenient for me. I did give one to a friend that didn't have one and she loves it. No bells and whistles....just off, low, high, and warm. PERFECT. While it's so easy to stick the crock and lid in the dishwasher for clean up, I do use the Crock Pot Bags most of the time which makes clean up a breeze. That way I can go to another food prep in no time. Highly recommend this Crock Pot for performance and durability.

Cooks way too fast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve had ours for a little over a year now and I wish I had thought about it sooner, maybe I could’ve claimed warranty with it. It’s cooking everything extremely too fast. A 4lb beef roast on low is done in less than 4 hours. A lamb roast is done in 3 or less. The meat is therefore not cooked the best and is tougher. I guess it’s time to look for a different one.

Nothing slow about this cooker

I have had problems with this crock pot since I bought it. I thought it was just me and that my recipes were just not working. It always overcooked everything. Pot roasts were overdone in half the time recommended, veggies disintegrated. I did not want to spend the money to replace it but I also can't afford to ruin food. My older model was so great and I was hoping to find reviews that would indicate that I just got a lemon with the newer model. But it confirms what I feared and I'll have to do some more research into other brands.
Pros: is easy to clean when the food gets burned on.
Cons: cooks way too hot
