I bought this and I loved it. One day my husband made a absolutely delicious pork roast with vegetables and then all of a sudden the glass lid shattered. I don't know what happened. Was it left on too long? Our meal was ruined! It seems there's not an option to buy a replacement lid for this 7 quart crockpot.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am not happy with the lid on this. It does not seal tight. Have to use foil over to hold in the heat.

Thank you for taking the time to review one of our products as we appreciate all of the concerns our consumers bring to our attention. Newer model Crock-Pot™ slow cookers cook at a higher temperature and are designed with a small gap, approximately 1/4", between the lid and the stoneware. Some units include a vent hole. This gap prevents pressure due to steam build up that can cause the lid to crack or shatter. If the lid were to form a perfect seal around the stoneware, the unit will operate like a pressure cooker rather than a slow cooker.
i bought this as a present, and doesnt work ... do not heat, take hours, almost an entire day and just warm, i dont recommend this product ... thanks crock-pot !

purchased one week ago, set on the counter and it rocks not in a good way should have been designed with 4 base feet not 3. rename as the rock pot, it is not like any of the others I have purchased. As far as we are concerned not your best design.

Thank you for your feedback as it is greatly appreciated. Three feet is the most stable design you can have.
had been using this slow cooker successfully for about a year and today the lid shattered after about 4 hours on power high with a roast and a bunch of liquid inside. I have no idea what happened to cause the entire lid to shatter. Sadly dinner is ruined and I'm disappointed in the Crock-Pot brand to say the least. I have a 20+ year old one that is smaller that has a much more sturdy glass lid. When I bought the new one I was wary of the cheap feeling of the lid and now I know that they're not built to last like they once were. It's safe to say my next slow cooker will not be another one of these. Steer clear, in my opinion!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a placement product due to a product recall. Not only was the company prompt, but gave me a totally new and complete crockpot. Above and beyond all expectations!
I've had this crock pot since September and used it for the first time yesterday. Big disappointment because dinner was not ready when I got home from work! From 7 am to 6pm cooking on high and the food was raw! So I left it there "cooking" until this morning and the food was done. This put a new twist to "Slow Cooking". I'm throwing it away, not worth giving or donating to anybody.
