[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already had 2 six quart crockpots but needed a larger one when entire family came for celebrations. This one served my purpose as I use all 3 sometimes
AZ summers and using the oven don't mix. My kitchen becomes a sauna. Crock-Pot has always been a reliable and delicious way to cook, but absolutely essential to me at this time of year. I was so excited to purchase this beauty yesterday! My old one had finally given out after years of use, so I bought a similar model. Tonight we're having a pot roast, something we love, but certainly something I couldn't cook for hours in the oven! As always, I know that I'll be really pleased with the results. Crock Pot has always been dependable, quality cookware that never disappoints. Low and slow, I'm getting great steam and looking forward to an enjoyable summer of meals with my new crockpot...in a cool kitchen!
I resorted to this crockpot for ease of use and the programmable ones seem to quit working. I was very disappointed when I found my honey mustard pork meal completely ruined because the stoneware was cracked and all the juices ran out the bottom part of the outside unit all over my counter and some had burned against the inside unit. My meat got burnt in the area of the side crack. I want to get another crockpot like this but am worried the stoneware will crack again. I have a 5 quart crockpot that we received for a wedding gift almost 27 years ago and that stoneware has never cracked. But I need a larger crockpot for larger meats and meals.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I only gave this a two - but wanted to give it a five... I love using a slow cooker, particularly for soups, pulled pork and corned beef. I decided to try the 7 quart size for those and was really happy with it until the black stoneware cracked. My smaller crock pot has lasted 30 years, so I was disappointed to lose my newest one.
I would recommend this to a friend!
