Cooks to Hot ON 10hr setting aka LOW

I had the older version of this with the heavy thick lid. Well I chipped the lid and instead of trying to find a replacement I went a head and bought the same model ( yes I pulled the model # off the product) because I did like the idea of a not so heavy lid. I make very few things in my crock pot. Ever since I got the Update version it has always burned my chicken and Noodles despite being on low. Is is literally BOILING a few hours into cooking. How does a LOW setting equal to BOILING?? I’m deeply disturbed that I let my older version go!!! I want it back so bad!!! I’m tired of my food burning at the end!!! The other issue is that you cannot select Warm on this digital version, it just defaults to it after the timed hours have elapsed. I feel like that is another huge fail. I want to know what the specific degree settings are for each option 4, 6, 8, 10 hrs on the updated version versus the older version. Please give more specifics as I now need a new crock pot!!!

Hello there Cherylann!

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review. Your feedback is important to us as it helps us to improve our products and services continuously. Crock-Pot® Slow Cookers reach the simmer point and stabilize on both "High" and "Low" at about 209°F. When using the Low setting, the heating element will gradually heat at a slow pace, whereas the High setting will heat faster. The warm setting on a slow cooker is around 165 degrees F and switches automatically once the cooking is done for digital slow cookers.

We pride ourselves on being the best in the business and would like the opportunity to turn this experience around for you. We want to learn more about your situation and what exactly happened. Therefore we encourage you to please reach out to us via https://www.crock-pot.com/support/contact-us or through LiveChat. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9 am -5 pm Eastern Time.

I have this same model the 7qt Crockpot and I loved it. But somehow the insert cracked/broke in half. Now I'm not 100 percent sure what had happened the kids say they don't know. But I'm just wanting an insert because it's not even a year old.

I bought this in December. Tried to make chuck roast twice a both times turned out very tough after 6 hours on high. Tried to use again last week to bring chili to (already cooked on stove) an event. It was on high for 4 hours and never warmed the chili. Not sure if I have a defective one. Never had any issues with previous crockpots.

Worst slow cooker ever owned

Finally, bought a new crockpot after 10 plus years. Should have kept my old one. Plugged the new one in on high and came back after an hour and it was not cooking everything was cold. Kicked it to low and it worked. I have tried all low, high and warm. Low is the only one that works. So, disappointed. Just a waste of money. Tried to go to the website to contact us and it asked me for my model number and the model number is not on there list.

Insert doesn’t fit.

I just pulled mine out of the box to wash and ready to prep dinner. The insert does not fit! It reaches the edges in length but not the width. Don’t even eat to try turning it on so I don’t void the warranty. Feels wasteful. The pot doesn’t event feel as heavy as they use to be.

Lid doesn't fit. Dangerous.

Lid doesn't fit, actual insert is not stable nor does it fit properly, entire crockpot is unstable and extremely unsafe due to all of these issues. Very disappointed. Someone in quality failed and decided to ship a dangerous product.

Hello!

Thank you very much for taking your time to provide us with your feedback!

Stoneware gaps were designed that way to prevent the stoneware from breaking when it expands because of the heat.

Advanced design now allows for a more effective release of steam from the cooker, which prevents any buildup of pressure and/or damage to your lid.

There should be no concern if you see a small gap between your lid and the crock itself. However, we will be happy to see a photo and assist you further.

For further assistance, please kindly reach out to us via https://www.crock-pot.com/support/contact-us or through LiveChat. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am -5pm Eastern Time.

Thank you!

First time use cooking split pea soup and seems extremely too hot! Normally my previous CRock Pot took 6 hours and never steamed. Can this be okay? Very concerned.
