Does Not Measure Up to Older Models

Bought this a couple of months ago and it has inexplicably died. Worked really well for awhile (though the stoneware chipped easily and outside is very cheap and has dented). Left it on high to cook and came back a few hours later to find that it had stopped working. Tried fiddling with the temperature dial but appears to be completely dead and now need a new slow cooker. Older Crockpot models worked great and were durable, but this model not so much.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Writing Wears Off the SS Front

I love the size and functionality of this slow cooker, however after numerous uses, the OFF LOW HIGH WARM writing has worn off. Now every time I use it I have to get my cheat sheet out.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Really like this Crock Pot!

This is the first Crockpot that I've used in years. Haven't had much need to use one until recently. This thing is great! Do I expect it to cook like 20 year old versions? No. Read about it. It does cook hot, but that is a good thing. If you follow the instructions and suggestions, this thing can be the perfect Crockpot. I'd venture a guess that those who think it cooks too hot never bothered to read anything and just started using it like the 20 year old appliance it replaced.

Cooks too hot/too fast

I had one of the original crock-pots from 40+ years ago. It was marketed for all-day cooking. You could leave it for 8 hours while at work and it "slow cooked". I'm so sorry I let it go - I finally got a newer/larger one. It cooks way too fast! Things that used to cook for 6-8 hours are overdone. This is not the way the slow cooker is supposed to work. Can I cook on warm to achieve the results I want?

To avoid overcooking, always fill the stoneware ½ to ¾ full and conform to the recommended cook times (unless guided otherwise in our slow cooker recipes). When starting the cooking process, the slow cooker should contain AT LEAST one cup of liquid or sauce. The Warm setting is only for keeping already cooked food at the perfect serving temperature. Do not cook on the Warm setting. We also do not recommend using the Warm setting for more than 4 hours.

Doesn’t sit in the heating element correctly

We just bought a bigger crock pot at Kohls, 7 qt. After taking it out of the box and washing it I put the crock in the base but it doesn’t fit correctly. It wobbles back and forth. I tried turning it around and got the same result our old one fit snug in the base . Seems like the heat would go right out around the pot
