I am new to Yoga and was looking for a towel that wouldn't move on the mat. This one does ok. It didn't move a lot but it did move. Wondering if the grip towels are better.

I think this is a very good towel for the money. I purchased it to use for Bikram (hot) Yoga. It fits the mat perfectly and is very soft and comfortable. However, it wrinkles a bit too much during class and that is distracting for me. It's also not quite absorbent enough for me as I tend to perspire buckets.
Did not cling to the mat at all. I slipped and slid so much that I just rolled it into a ball and threw it in the corner. It's pretty pricey to use as an ordinary beach towel.

This towel is much too sticky; it sticks to my feet and hands, so EVERYTIME I move the towel also moves and folds over on itself. Constantly having to readjust it everytime I move, makes it a pain to use on the mat; but it is super absorbant.

Would prefer it a little tacky

I bought this version of the thirsty yoga towel to save money, since the silicone-backed ones can be expensive. The towel is very absorbent, but I find that my hands slip quite a bit - that makes me nervous, and I spend a lot of time fooling around with it in class depending on the postures we're doing. I would prefer if the texture was a little tacky to prevent slipping...

You will never want to go back to a regular towel

I practice Bikram yoga and was using a beach towel. I decided it was time to try a thirst towel and purchased a few for my husband and I. The difference it makes is amazing. The four things I love are: * The towel is extremely soft so when I lay my head on the floor, the towel feels great on my cheeks. * It is as big as my yoga mat so I don't have to bring 2 towels. * I don't slip during triangle pose. * It keeps me much drier than a regular towel. I have decided to come back and get the small ones too as my face doesn't like regular hand towels anymore :)

This yoga towel fits perfectly on my mat. It doesn't slip and slid. Color blue is very pretty. love being able to wash it. Air dries quickly.
