dont buy if you need reliable

i have had this product 1year the product has arrived broken b4 even getting to use it when it did work had great prints, the scanner is no good for pictures they come out nothing of equal or same quality this machine has had to get the print head replaced many times,
Pros: Easy Setup, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: unreliable, Flimsy Construction, poor scan qaulity, easily breaking down
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not the best

All features of this product were working good and then one day when I tried to scan a photo it would not scan to my computer. I have reinstalled the software, updated the driver, reinstalled the software again but the scanner still does not work. Everything else works fine. However, I use the scanner frequently and am very unhappy with this Canon. The Canon I had before this one just stopped doing anything just like other reviewers have said and that happened only a couple of months into the warranty. I will not buy another Canon. I am very disappointed in this product. I would hope that Canon has fixed these issues in current models.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: High Ink Consumption
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Junk, don't buy

This printer starts to print a sheet of standard paper text and then STOPS.....WAITS with the message "waiting for the previous page to dry". It waits about 8 minutes than attempts to print another sheet and does the same thing again. Takes hours to print a simple document
DON'T BUY
Cons: Slow Print Speed, High Ink Consumption, wait between pages

MG 5300 Series Printer cannot print an envelop out of the box from windows 7 x64 operating system...

Easy WiFi setup

This printer only took me 1 hour to set up for WiFi .Even though it was installed on a Tablet running Windows RT, and I had no way to use the CD installation disk because there are no disk drives on my Tablet.
Pros: Easy Setup
Cons: Heavy/Bulky
I would recommend this to a friend!

Given that the warranty is for only 1 year, I guess I got lucky.
It was rather slow but it was reliable.
