don't waste your money and time

Don't waste your time and/or money on this product. I purchased it based on a recommendation from Red River Paper (on their website). I tried to print Christmas Cards (7x10) and nowcome to find out that this model does not accept custom paper of this size. Nor does there seem to be any way to work around it.
Cons: Difficult to use, Slow Print Speed, Difficult Setup, High Ink Consumption
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This printer does not have print with black ink only option. So if you run out of a color ink cartridge you have no option. also the color ink is used when printing black. the ink runs out very quickly make it very expensive. Printer is slow at best. Considering the cost of tis printer and its performance very disappointed.
The WORST printer I ever had will never buy a cannon product again.
Cons: Slow Print Speed, High Ink Consumption

Printing blank sheets

I've had this printer for a little over 2 years. It was printing fine then all of a sudden the pages started coming out blank. I recently replaced the cartridges and ran all of the diagnostics. The print heads were not "dried out" as some might suggest because it was printing fine earlier in the day. After feverishly using all of the troubleshooting methods suggested (change ink, clean printheads, deep clean printheads) and wasting a lot of ink, I carefully cleaned the print heads as suggested on several websites. I performed all of the above multiple times and still have not been able to resolve the issue. I know fixing it will cost more than replacing it. This was my first and last purchase of a Canon printer. They should just stick to making cameras. I have no complaints about my Canon cameras.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use
Cons: unreliable, quit working
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The first 12 months using this product was very favorable, although truthfully it was not heavily used. The problems occurred recently -- kept getting no paper prompt (although fully loaded), then went through the print process ending with blank pages. Seems to be no answer, but to buy a different product.
Pros: Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sad excuse for a printer

I would recommend against buying this model of printer. It cannot read .pdf files from any kind of storage media device, and does not have ad-hoc connection (you cant go straight from your computer to the printer). As a college student, this is the most expensive paperweight i've ever owned.
Cons: Difficult to use, Heavy/Bulky, Difficult Setup, unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A great little home printer/scanner/copier. I've had this Pixma MG3520 for almost 4 years. It has not failed me until just now when I had a minor software problem. Tech support walked me through an Uninstall/reinstall and life is wonderful again. I've had a big expensive, fancy Canon machine before and was pretty happy with that also. I love this little guy. It serves our minimal needs very well. Thanks Canon.....you rock !!

Not a good buy!

Bought this printer several years ago. Print quality is so-so and it uses a HUGE amount of ink. Then it stopped printing unless I constantly unplugged and plugged it back in again. Now it won't print at all. My last Canon printer.
