The worst printer I have ever used

Using this printer is the stuff of nightmares. Errors that have been previously remedied pop up all of the time, half the time it won't print at all, constant wifi issues, high ink consumption, and you may as well forget ever trying to scan anything. Just a horrible, horrible waste of space. Don't bother purchasing, unless you like being frustrated and disappointed constantly.

Low Ink Prevents Printing!

I was furious to discover that if ANY cartridge runs out you cannot print ANYTHING! My cyan cartridge ran out of ink and the printer would not allow me to print even a black and white page! That Canon would design it so you can't print black because you are out of blue is just ridiculous! I had plenty of black ink. I did not need the cyan right now. I should not have been forced to go buy a cyan cartridge just to print black text! Even if I wanted to print a blue image without cyan that should be MY choice to print a bad page if I want to. Sometimes it really doesn't matter, like when you just want to print a Google map for directions. If you are in a hurry and need to print directions fast, you don't care if the map is pretty. The important thing is to get your directions printed. Not with a Canon printer! You are out of luck! What if you needed to print a resume just before going to a job interview? Or print a report right before a meeting? If you're in a hurry you need to be able to just print with whatever colors you have. It doesn't always matter. You sure don't have time to run out and buy ink first! That the printer just refuses to work so you are forced to go spend money on ink you don't need is absurd! I will not be buying another Canon printer until they address this issue.
Pros: Sharp Tones & Colors
Cons: High Ink Consumption, printer won't work if even one cartridge runs dry, slow warm-up

Worst printer ever!

This printer MG5300 has been nothing but problems. Within about a 6 month timeframe the wifi feature only worked 1/2 of the time.
we've had to unplug the printer replug, bring the computer to the printer etc. to make it work. Today it won't print even with the computer plugged into the printer.
I will never buy a Canon printer again!
Cons: Slow Print Speed, unreliable, High Ink Consumption

Have had little over three years, it was my first and last Canon.
It worked well for the first year then the warranty ran out and I have to pray each month when I want to print my online bill statements. It just gave me an error code that seems to be VERY common and out of nowhere it just won't print. Tried everything from every "help site" and its dead. Shopping now for new one and it will not be a Canon

High ink consumption!! Its higher than high & gets very expensive.Have switched to an off brand occasionally. The savings will allow me to purchase another printer quickly.Photos can consume the whole tank! Be careful with ink usage.
Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use

Buyer beware!!! Printer was great until the infamous U052 error message (print head is incorrect) appeared only 18 months after it was purchased. No known fix unless you purchase another print head which is almost as much as a new printer. Now, I am stuck with a printer that is utterly useless.
Cons: unreliable

The printer worked well at first with the exception of the top paper feed... I could not copy a letter unless I put it on the platen, lowered the top and printed.
Now another problem has come up: My printer will not print from the computer. In trying to correct it I am told to hold down the WPS button -- there is no such button on the machine.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup
Cons: Difficult Setup
