NX430 printer

I like this printer but it is out of ink constantly! We don't print that much but we seem to always be in need of ink. My husband just ran and got red ink because the printer indicated that is what was needed. I tried to print a document I need tomorrow but now we seem to need black and yellow ink!! We just replaced the black ink last month. For the cost of ink we will probably have to buy a different printer although ours is fairly new.

Excellence In Printing with Easy Wi-Fi- Setup

I have always been an Epson printer fan but have not purchased one for many years. I purchased the Epson Stylus 430N and was amazed at the photo quality pictures that it prints. I make cards for everyone and put their pictures on them and they mean more to people than any store bought card would even mean and they love them. My neice made the comment about hour clear and crisp the photos and animations were on her card. Also, the printer cartridges last much longer (4X) longer than any other printers I have purchased in the past ten years. I LOVE IT AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRINTER. Wi-Fi setup is so easy I was up and running in 10-15 minutes!!!

Uses too much ink

I have had this printer for about a year and have probably spent more on ink than the printer cost. The worst part is that the printer will not allow me to print anything once it decides the cartridge needs to be replaced. If I am in the middle of a project, I have to stop and drive 8 miles to the office supply store. I have reluctantly starting buying cartridges in advance, which is probably what the company wants. I do not do a lot of printing, so can only imagine how frustrated heavy users must be.

Very happy with this printer. It has everything I need and performs well. It prints well in black & white and color, is easy to use, has a bunch of functions, and is compact.

Worst Printer Ever

I have had this printer for over one year. This printer is incredibly tempermental. It is difficult if not impossible to set up the Wi-Fi feature. The paper feed allows the paper to droop forward and thus not feed properly. When one of the ink cartridges is low a dialog box is displayed prompting you to buy ink from Epson. You are then unable to print in black only while you await getting a new replacement cartridge. Total junk!

Would NOT Recomend

I have had this printer for a little over a year now and have bad countless issues. First, not very easy to setup. You must set up the wifi and connect it to the computer with the disk which may not seem too difficult, but it actually is. Also, Epson does not give you a cord to make wired connections which I needed when the wifi wouldn't work. After all that, it goes through ink too fast and the quality of my prints is horrible and it does not offer good solutions to fix the issues.

NX430 Not so great for printing Artworks

In general, I like the performance of this printer with one exception - thicker papers will NOT go through it. I bought this printer so that I could print my small artwork on demand (when purchased) and send them to those who collect my artwork. Thin (lightweight) papers go through just fine - but even Epson art papers (44 lb. Premium Presentation Matte) will NOT go through.
