No BW Option

Don't buy you. Will not be able to print or make copies unless all color cartridges have ink. Changing settings by machine or connected device will not enable printing.

I purchased this printer after my small Epson PictureSmart decided to give up the ghost. I do a lot of printing with vacations and grandchildren and need a reliable printer. I thought upgrading to the newest model would be a good idea. Right now I'm finding that the picture quality isn't as brilliant as the older one. The pictures are sharp and clear, but the colors are not as vibrant.
Now instead of the beautiful pictures I'm used to I'm getting rather average looking ones. Hopefully they will figure out what is wrong and correct it.

Fantastic Epson Printer

I have had my Epson NX 430 printer for several years, although it is only used part of each year. I am always glad to return to the place where this printer is located. I have learned that even standing unused for most of the year, it is always dependable when connected and turned back on. I cannot say the same for any other printer I have used.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A little disappointment

Overall, the NX430 is a fine piece of equipment. I waited over a month looking for a small footprint printer because of desk space. Up came the NX430. Just what I was looking for. It fits perfectly.
It was somewhat easy to install and operate. One thing that was disappointing was that the card reader couldn't read XD picture cards. I have two cameras that use XD cards. The card reader is useless to me. I have an Acer Notebook that has a reader that reads XD cards. Since I can use the printer through Wi Fi, I may be able to print 4X6 pictures through the NX430 foremat.

AIR PRINT CAPABLE FOR IPAD & IPHONE

Needed a wireless printer for ipad and iphone; had good reviews from other users and Apple recommended for ease of use. Extremely easy to setup to network and printed from ipad and iphone with no problem on first try.

I am disappointed

I was told by the salesman that this printer would use less ink, be cheaper etc...etc. Well it is not. The manual says I can set this up to print in just black and white. That is not true. If any color cartridges are running on empty you can't print in just black & white. I set up all the settings to print B&W per the instructions. I recently replaced all ink cartridges at once to try to resolve the problem. The Cyan low ink warning came up immediately. I reset the cartridge to avail and received other low ink warnings Then I reset them all. I have done little printing in color but I keep getting low ink warnings. I am not happy with this printer at all.

Broke in 2 years

This printer broke after only 2 years. The printer feeds paper through but gives an "out of paper" error. Customer support said there is nothing to do to fix it except buy a new printer.

Handy at a cost

The printer itself is a great buy, inexpensive and easy to setup. However, the ink is quite costly by comparison to some other printers. I'm using a printer with less expensive ink for everyday and the NX430 only when I need to print from Wi-Fi.
