I just got my Epson. Followed the directions to the letter. Very, very easy installation. Print quality excellent. This is a great printer for home use.

Epson Stylus NX430

Great price offset by poor documentation and installation support. Here is a low priced printer that supports Apple's AirPrint, but if you're using MAC OSX 7 (and who isn't by now) the 80 meg file must first be downloaded from the Epson website; this took three hours on my cable modem as the first download failed.
The instructions advise that you remove the light blue packing material shown on the illustration before powering the printer up. After removing all the material as shown, I later find several pieces internal to the printer. At no point is the presence of this internal packing material shown in the documentation!!!
I mean come on. How hard is to to advise the user as to where the packing material is. I am so upset with this incompetence.
So, I power it up and I hear a low groan and crunch. On closer examination I find the errant material jamming the ink caddy.
All said and done, I remove the extra material, get it powered up, install the software, put in the paper, and the print quality is very, very poor.
Online documentation advises that I should go to Apple to check for a software update before completing the install. What? Huh? I have spent three hours downloading this software file and I am suppose to update it before installing? What?
Suffice it to say there is no option for updating software that hasn't yet been installed. I'm honestly still confused.
OK, get it? I have spent a full afternoon and evening with this printer and all I have is a pain in my stomach, poor quality print output, and a sick feeling that this printer was a mistake.
Tomorrow is another day.
Positives? Great price, and delivery went flawless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy set-up

Set up via wifi for windows vista, very easy! Then printed from my iPad without any issues. Great quality printing at very reasonable cost. Happy camper!

Very easy set up. No problems at all! Very compact design. Good print quality. This is the best all-in-one printer for anyone with limited space!

I've only gone through the initial setup procedure, but it was very straightforward and easy.
Finally instructions printed in English !!!
The color on the test page alone is brilliant, and the gradients are just as wonderful.

I cannot wait to put this baby to use, but first I have to throw my OEM printer in the dumpster !!!

I have replaced my EPSON RX620 mostly due to age of the machine. The NX430 replacement prints every bit as well as the larger machine and takes up less space. Photo copies show good, clear colors and make excellent prints.
