Easiest setup ever

I replaced a previous Epson printer I owned with a new NX430 and couldn't be more pleased. Of all the printers I have owned, this was the easiest to set up and be underway with printing tasks. Type is sharp and colors are accurate. Ink refills won't break the bank either!

NX430 on XP

I had some issues with installing an older computer to a new NX430. The PC is Windows XP and has USB 1 connections. The only way to get a connection was with WiFi through the router to which I have a Cat5 direct connection. The software and untilities are also a bit limited on XP. Print looks good and the scan works. I have not tried scan to email yet but scan to PDF is OK.

I've had this printer for maybe 1 month and its great, it does not take much space and its great. Prints fairly fast for its little size. I don't have much space to work with, and this printer is great, the wifi that it has has a good reach and has not disconnected at all. scans pictures and is its quick. I would definitely recommend this printer to someone that does not have much space to work with.

Great Printer!

EPSON got everything right on with this printer / scanner. The size and weight are optimal. Function, speed, and quality are great. Setup was smooth and my family was up and running printing and scanning over our wireless LAN with ease. We were impressed with the speed, quality, function, and also how quiet the NX430 prints. I particularly like the Control Panel with color screen is very functional and clear (uncluttered while clearly containing all of the important features). This was our first wireless printer. We were pleasantly surprised about the wireless scanning function and how smoothly and quickly this ran over the network. I'm amazed on what the NX430 offers. It's been less than a week and we are all extreamly pleased with our new Stylus NX430. Thank you EPSON for creating a fantastic product that gets everything just right!

IT TOOK ME OVER THREE HOURS TO INSTALL!!!

THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE MOST TIME CONSUMING, TEDIOUS INSTALLATION PROCESS I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. I'M HAVE A NEW LAPTOP AND IT'S STILL SLOWED DOWN MY SERVICE TREMENDOUSLY. IT ALSO ONLY WOULD ALLOW ME TO DOWNLOAD HALF OF THE PRINTER/SCAN CAPABILITY. I AM UNABLE TO SCAN FROM THE PRINTER ITSELF...ONLY FROM THE LAPTOP!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
