Set-up NOT wthout difficulties

Didn't recognize the USB connection, required set-up wireless manually; still no print--then checked if working thru another computer, then uninstall/reinstall software with orig computer. Will try again, but NOT impressed so far!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great little Printer

When I ordered this printer I had three things I specifically wanted from a printer.
1. Print wirelessly
2. Print from my iPad
3. Scan wirelessly
This does all of that, and well. It was a breeze to set up. With a Mac running Lion I just downloaded the newest software from Epson.com and didn't even have to plug the printer into the computer. It was that easy. It was ready to use by my computer and iPad in about 5 minutes. So far the print quality seems good, bear in mind I don't print pictures though and don't plan to. The black ink that came with it seemed to run low pretty fast I just ordered the high capacity cartridge so we'll see how that goes. It is small and easy to use for that I gave it 5 stars. Hope this helps!

Good but could be a lot better

Smaller size is great and the b&w printing is very good. Color printing s not so hot. Colors are not sharp and they change as the ink dries. Still muddy but not the same as when it came off the printer. Makes it difficult to copy or print photos. I think the problem lies in the ink Epson uses. Very good at b&w stuff, printing or pictures. Really like the smaller size. That was a major factor when I bought this.

Had bought another printer, instructions were difficult to follow and printer ended up not working. Went back bought this Epson, so easy to set up, small compact, instructions were very understandable even for someone not very technical. Printing quality Excellent!

Easy set up and wirelessly printing in 30 minutes out of the box, with no problems! Very convenient and intuitive installation. Easy to follow instructions. Prints seemlessly and quickly. Nice quality printing. I am looking forward to using my new NX430 for a long time. I would highly recommend this printer to anyone looking to use their wireless network to print!

Love the compact size. Fits into a small space I have. Fairly easy setup(download the drivers from the website for easier install) Makes fast copies, clear photos and a great job restoring a photo taken in1962 that was faded. Made it look like new.
Like my other 2 Epson printers, great value for the money.

The NX430 is a great printer for the price. This is our first Epson product, and we are impressed. The printer does an amazing job. It is small and compact, it is easy to use and the print quality is excellent. The wireless feature, which is the reason we bought a new printer, works well and was a breeze to set up.
Print speed is not real fast, especially in high-quality color mode, but we find the speed to be acceptable for home use. Scanning and copying are faster and easier than with our old HP all-in-one printer.
The ink cartridges that come with the printer are the #124 "moderate-use" cartridges. Although these don't seem to last long, the yield looks like it is going to be close to the stated 190 to 195 copies. In the future, we will use the #126 "high-capacity" cartridges (#126), which have over twice the expected yield, to reduce print cost and to reduce the number of times we have to replace cartridges.
