Printer set-up

The instructions were easy to follow. I did a wireless set-up w/USB cable connection toward the end. Completion of set-up took two tries. On the second one, I did not ask for updates during the process; maybe that is why the set-up completed easily.
I haven't tried out all the features of the Stylus NX430 yet, but I like how it printed so far and the easy-to-read control panel that lifts up for easier reading. Also like its sleek, lightweight, user-friendly aspects.

Printer Performance

I purcchased my Epson Stylus NX430, approximately five months ago. Since then I have used it for printing, coping and scanning. I cannot fault the performance of this product. The ease of use is fantastic, and the quality of the finished product is wonderful. I truely enjoy the ease with which this product lets the owner change ink cartridges and cleans the ink jets is great. I would highly recommend this product to both my friends and family.

Not so great, out of the box

So far, not so good. We just unpacked and set up our printer. While the setup was pretty easy, the instructions were a little fuzzy on the wireless setup part. The initial test print came out with lots of black smears. I tried print head clean, alignment, nozzle setup, etc. But all in all this puppy just won't print clean. I'm hoping this is just a bad cartridge or defective head and not a pattern for these printers. I've had other epson printers and been very happy. This is the exception. Maybe Epson will be able to right the wrong.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Epson has been really nice with printing and copying, but the WiFi is most difficult to hook up for any outlying computers such as laptops in the home.
