So far the Epson Stylus NX430 is a good printer for the cost. Easy installation and good quality print. The wireless capability is very useful. Epson makes good quality printers for all uses ranging from photos to everyday documents.

The NX430 literally eats ink. I purchased this product after my PictureMate stopped printing, it lasted almost 7 yrs and printed 100+ pictures per cartridge. So I thought another Epson would be of good quality, I was wrong. The NX430 barely prints 50 pictures PER single ink cartridge. I can live with how slow and loud the machine is. The ink consumption is ridiculous.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I use a MacBook, and for several weeks I've needed a new printer for my schoolwork, so I acquired this one. I was afraid setup would take too long, but I'm surprised that it took less than 10 minutes. I just put the stuff in the printer, used the included disc to install the printer, and used the wireless in my MacBook and printer to start printing.
I was happy with everything up until I read a paper included with the box that stated DO NOT USE DISC ON MAC OSX 10.7! I didn't understand, was it dangerous to do what made setup so quick and easy? Nothing has malfunctioned on my laptop, and the printer is still perfect for me.
If anyone who works on the printer reads this, I advise some investigation or something into this 'problem' and why it would be bad to use the disc for Mac OSX 10.7. Other than that thanks for the quality printer!

NX430 initial review

The printer will be primarily used for photo proofs and casual printing particularly supporting my iPad. Out of the box I am very pleased with overall quality of the print output. Without using any printer color profiles or calibration, the color is dead on from my Mac. Much to my surprise I can wirelessly scan to all my "idevices" as well as print. Scanning process to the Mac is not as elegant as I would like, but it will do. I was not expecting wireless scanning at all. Well done Epson! This product is way beyond my expectations for use with the iPad. The printing speed is OK, the quality is excellent. The scanning seems to be good quality albeit a bit sluggish. The build quality is not as good as I expect from Epson, it seems a bit "fragile", but the clean design and simple operation make up for this. I have always been pleased with Epson products, I am very glad I have chosen Epson for my new printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Links up brilliantly to new Mac operating system. 10 minutes from box to printing. Copied page is as good as original. Print dialog is easy to work with. Compact, nice looking, affordable, and it works.
