Delicious, quality brew every time. Follow directions for cleaning & initial use (don't drink first brew), and use coarse or medium grinds, and you will be one happy camper. Coffee brews at the perfect temperature, tastes great, and stays hot. Percolator looks and sounds beautiful. It's easy to clean, too. And, with the basket, you need no paper filter. Bravo, West Bend!

I bought this percolator because I was tired of paying a bunch of money for the auto-drip systems that didn’t seem to last very long. I grew up with a simple percolator coffee pot that my parents used forever. The nice thing about this one is that it doesn’t keep cooking the coffee after it’s made; it has a warmer that keeps it at a certain temp for a few hours and it doesn’t get that burnt taste. I really like it. I put it on a timer and coffee is ready when I wake up.

Love, Love, Love this coffee pot! My coffee is always nice and hot and flavorful & I don't have to use as much coffee as my previous pot. The done light indicator is a nice feature along with the vintage chrome, shape and look. I love the swooshing sound it makes when it first starts up. Nothing like a good PERKED cup of coffee. Ordered this percolator and it brews a fabulous cup of coffee--that is healthy and clean---no chemicals due to processed paper filters, no hot water touching plastic (cups or water chamber, where hot water causes the emulsifiers (oils) in plastic to come into the water/coffee you are drinking, and so easy to clean! Just load it up and plug it in and it does all the work---and so well! Love the stainless---as it is beautiful and sterile--unlike plastic! Makes a great cup!

We love our West Bend 12-cup Percolator so much that we had to buy one for a friend. Now she doesn't have to come over every day to get a cup of coffee from my percolator. I didn't lose a friend; I gained a grateful neighbor. Hearing it perk & watching it in the glass dome is as delightful as the smell of the fresh perked coffee. Helps my 81-year-old body get out of bed in the morning.

great when new, needs frequent cleaning

It makes decent coffee, if a bit weak. Sometimes the grounds spill out- make sure the filter disc is pre moistened immediately prior to adding coffee grounds and starting brew. After a few batches the performance will deteriorate, you'll get it working like new again after a 30 minute soak with a mixture of hot water and oxygenating granular cleaner (i.e. Oxi-Clean). The clear plastic topper will eventually need replacement and the manufacturer doesn't offer replacement parts... hoping a generic glass one fits.
