I enjoy using this machine for making baby blankets, and house decorating projects. The only problem I have with this machine is lightweight material can get jammed into the machine and throws the timing belt off.

So far so good with this machine. It was recommended by a friend and it is living up to her recommendation.

I have owned 2 sewing machines & wish I'd have purchased this earlier in life rather then the 2 old ones I have. I haven't had any problems using it. Instructions are easy to understand for a beginner to professional seamstress. Easy to operate. Price is right. I really love this machine. I also own a Serger & Embroidery machine.

I am very disappointed with this machine. I bought it so that I could learn to machine quilt - especially free-motion quilting. Don't expect to find instructions for that in the manual or on the DVD that comes with it! I had to watch a bunch of videos on YouTube just to get started. Very frustrating. Now that I finally was able to quilt with it - it just stopped working today. I called 1-800-singer, waited on hold for 45 minutes, and the person on the other end was not able to help me. So now I am supposed to send it to a repair center in another state - at my own expense. This machine weighs 21 lbs - it's going to cost a small fortune to ship it, and who knows how long it will take to get back. Needless to say, I am very disappointed. I wish I had spent a few hundred more dollars and gotten a good machine. This just wasn't worth the money, and the aggrevation. Sorry, I always liked Singer in the past.

On the day of receiving this machine I was excited, until I started to sew and nothing was working right, the tension would not work, auto tension would not work, good sewing was going on the bottom, so turned off machine and tried it again later that day, finally got the tension set, sewed for 3 days then decided to change the stitch length which was a big mistake, could not get the tension to work so I sent the machine back, now waiting for another one, same machine to see it this happens again and if it does I will be returning it and not buying another one.

this is my first singer (my mom had several) and I find it easy to use and it quilts beautifully and this is a good thing because I am a novice quilter the only reason I would get a new machine would be to upgrade to an emb. machine

2 years ago I purchased the 7469Q for my birthday. At first I was a little unsettled about the price. I initially purchased it so that I could teach my daughter to sew. After using this machine, I found that my daughter, whom had never sewn before, could use this machine like she had ben sewing her whole life. I introduced her to the world of quilting with this machine and found it was worth EVERY PENNY! She now enjoys quilting just as much if not more than I do. Further testament to the ease of use of Singer machines...she purchased the Futura CE 250 for me for Christmas. I will continue to purchase Singer products and so will my daughter. I've never had any problems with my first machine and am just now taking it in for a tune up. I'll be handing my older machine over to her so that she may enjoy it just as much as I have. Again, I have just good things to say about Singer products. Thank you Singer!

Quilting Machine Opinion

This machine runs quietly and smoothly. It is great that it comes with an extension table, and needed quilting feet. However, I really feel this machine needs to come with instructions concerning the quilting attachments. The instruction manual pretty much covers the general sewing feet, but not the quilting feet. This is supposed to be quilters machine so it needs to cover quilting use.
