Love this machine!

I recently bought the 7469 Confidence Quilter as a replacement to a Curvy 8763. Although I loved the Curvy I found I outgrew it quickly and found a few features on it I never quite got use to. After using the Confidence Quilter I found that it feels more natural to me. It's easy to use. Runs smoother and quieter. It's an absolute joy to use and so much fun! Three features I found I like over the Curvy is the automatic needle threader, the presser foot lifter and the needle up or down stop position. This is an absolute must for quilting and other craft projects! I also feel there is more clearance between the machine head and the base at the needle area. Anyone looking for the next step up from a beginners sewing machine should take a look at the Confidence Quilter. The bonus quilting table is quite nice! My Curvy has found a new home to a beginner sewer. She is as thrilled own it as I am to sewing with my Confidence!

I purchased my machine a couple of months ago and so far I am delighted. It has done everything I have tried so far. However, I could not find instructions on moving the needle from left to right

I purchased this machine August of 2013. I have had it for 8 months. I use it infrequently and now it seems to have a short in it or a bad cord. There is no local Singer Service Warranty center. The company says I need to send back in the original container, which I do not have. The light is very poor.

I upgraded from a basic Singer Promise to the Singer Confidence, and boy, can I see and feel a difference! I'm fairly new to sewing (I'm self-teaching myself) and I find this machine easy to use and understand - it was more of an upgrade than I was planning, but one well-enjoyed nonetheless.

I don't have a lot of money, so I looked at a lot of machines, and always came back to Singer. my first Singer lasted 35 years, was very basic, and my sister-in law bought it aftere she saw how easy it was to operate. I am an avid quilter, and do not want to send my quilts out for quilting, so this was perfect. This machine does it all, and has replaced my Singer 7463.

I have read the manual, looked at the chart, and watched the DVD over and over, and I still can not get the machine theaded with the ease that I see on the screen. In fact, I could not thread it at all today after I replaced the needle. I gave up sewing a few years ago because my Singer was so erratic. Now here we go again.
