I purchased this machine 5 years ago and it totally failed on me this week. Very disappointed. It is cheaply made with plastic parts. The feed dog system needs complete replacement. This machine is only good for a beginning sewer. It was very easy to use and the stitch selection was great. I am a quilter and use the machine almost every day. It never did a good job with quilting, even with a walking foot. If you are a serious seamstress, get yourself a much better quality machine.

The machine died and will not work. I fallowed all sugestions on site and no help. I have sent several E-mails to support but get no response at all. There is no repaire shop in 100 miles of me so that is out. You'd think the co. would want to respond instead of ignoring me. Less than 3 hours of use and dead. Probably waiting for warrety to run out then charge all out. Very Very un-satisfied!!!!!!!

I love my sewing machine. I've had it for about 5 years but have only been using it for the last 2 years. I am a beginning sewer but I use it all the time. I mainly sew bags and some basic clothing. I recently discovered that the machine included a walking foot. It was attached with some other feet in a bag attached to the extension table. I do not like the zipper foot that came with the machine. It can be cumbersome because it is so wide at the base. The instruction book that came with the machine is not as informative as I would like and the CD is useless. I would love to see a CD that is more detailed in showing ways to troubleshoot problems. But overall, this machine is pretty great. I have only broken 1 needle in 2 years. BTW I use my machine every week, if not every day. It has not been professionally serviced yet but I have oiled it and cleaned it. Sometimes thread gets caught in the feed dogs but that is mostly due to user error. My husband bought this for me for Christmas one year. Best Gift Ever!!!

Incomplete and inaccurate instructions frustrating

I also am disappointed in the free embroidary sewing. The instructions to the other reviews say the directions are on page 12. I tried those directions and they don't work. After lowering the feed dog, I still can't move the work piece around. I tried removing the foot altogether and still can't freely move the work. I have been sewing for over 50 years and this is the first machine that I cannot free embroidary sew. I also had difficulty with the blind hem stitch. It skipped many stiches. I had to redo it multiple times. Straight sewing worked well as did zizzag, multistich zigzaz and double overlocking stitch.

I bought this product, thinking that I would be able to use it to quilt. I get so fustrated trying to get it work that I just end up putting in back in the cabinet. I have had the machine for over a year now and have NOT been able to sew very many thing. The bobbin jams and nothing sews. For a machine that was so expense to purchase it is useless to me. I have had many expert sewers looks at this machine and throw their hands up with it. Very upset! I will go back to using the machine my mother bought me 30 years ago.....it still works.

For home sewing. I love how easy it is to thread the machine and wind the bobbin, The nice size work table that comes with the machine, plus all the extra attachments. I found nothering I don't like about this machine. I also like the fact Singer has a help line we can call.

Easy to use and you can get started right out of the box! The quick start guide is very helpful and your sewing within 5 minutes! Very nice machine, quiet and quick! I love it! I haven't tried quilting on it yet just making masks right now but soon I will begin my quilt! I had a Singer sewing machine basic model for 19 years and I loved it! I have finally upgraded and I know I will love this one too! You can't go wrong with a singer! So easy to use!
I really love this machine, It's nicer than any that I've owned in the past. I love how automated it is. It makes sewing on a machine a breeze, and the automatic threader is a must have when you get older. I also like how quite it is, I treated myself when I bought it because I am older and thought I deserved it and so do you!
