VERY LIMITED for quilting

NO directions for setting up free-motion or getting help but is advertised on the box. Got help from a very experienced sewer and still does horrible for free-motion. Problem is Not me-- went to another machine and had no problems. It does do a walking foot so if all you want to do is straight stitch and in the ditch you are okay.

this replaced a 1958 Singer 401A that I have used for years, but just took up quilting and I wanted the features like needle down and the extension table and different stitches. Also liked the needle threader. Machine is working out well for me.

I just finished my first quilt on this machine and found it easy to use and helpful for my style of quilting. I have had no problems with the parts or motor. I viewed several of Singer's videos online to better understand how the different feet work and found them informative and easy to understand. The only thing I have had trouble with is using the needle threader, so I just thread is myself, no problem.

Not what I Thought I was getting!

I have liked this machine until I went to free hand quilt with it. I did not get the darning and embroidery foot that the instruction on line show. The one I have can not even be used once it is put on the machine. No instruction at all on how to set up and use this machine for quilting. Very sorry I got it now.
