I've had my sewing machine a little over a year. It's been in for repairs twice & is now sitting in my closet waiting for me to get the nerve to try it again. I believe this machine is smarter than me & would be a great machine for someone who is more experienced than me. I have sewn several fleece blankets & baby quilts with it, & I just love all the options it has, but the quality of this machine is a concern. It is loud when sewing & it makes noises, kerplunk, kerplunk, if using any speed over slow & that's after being repaired twice & refusing to replace the machine. For the price I paid for it I will keep it & use it when I want to use decorative edgings which is a very slow process when using this machine but worth the end results.

I am very upset that my husband spent money on this. I can't even use it. When I first got it I was so impressed. Very quickly though, the timing was off. Three trips to the repair shop and it still won't stay fixed. I can only sew a straight stitch in the middle position. I will be calling Singer, but don't think I will get anywhere.

probably the best maching I have bought so far, and I have purchased 5,my children each got one as they left the nest and went out on their own. This machine does everything that I ever wanted to get done and it does it with ease. The power along with all the attachments makes this machine fantastic. I have been able to accomplish every sewing task I have started, just as I have with each singer I have purchased, but this model is the best one yet, and it has the ability to quilt right along with the multitude of abailable stitches that are built in. Thanks Singer for a great product.

After using my mom's Singer 290C for over 20 years, I figured I needed a new machine. This one does everything I need it to as I have been quilting for 10 years: fabulous for straight sewing and there's enough room for me to stuff my quilt through! Being able to lower feed dogs and having needle down function is so nice and handy.

I have had the machine for 3 months now. I have tried out about 90% of all the features. I like the machine so far. It is not as quiet as I thought that it would be, but I think that it is a good machine overall. PROS-I love all the extra feet and the extension bed, that gave it the extra scoring points with me. I really like the digtial selection buttons. I also like the button for needle down and the twin needle functions. This is truly a plus. CONS-What really hit a sour note with me was that the manual is for the 7469 and does not touch on the 7469Q features. So you have to figure it out on your own. I think with a better made manual the sewing machine would be that much better. Also, the drop/raise feed dog is located at the back of the machine. Not sure why this mechanism could not have been put on the front or even the right side of the machine.

I just purchased the Confidence Quilter because I thought it would be great to quilt my projects rather than paying someone to do it for me. Even though "Quilter" is in the name, no where in the manual or on the DVD does it actually tell you how to use the quilting feet or do any quilting. Amazing. I will try to figure it out on my own and if that doesn't work, the machine will be going back. I thought the name Singer was one I could trust but now I'm not so sure

I just purchased this machine and I love it already! Has the 1/4" seam guide on plate came with a 1/4" foot. For a beginner like me who plans on making quilts looks like the perfect machine. Watched the dvd that came with it and was able to thread the bobbin and the machine in record time.
