Would never buy again.

We remodeled our kitchen a couple of years ago and bought all new GE appliances. We have had nothing but problems with almost every appliance. For the money we spent I would have expected better quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Junk Plastic knobs

I replaced 9 knobs so far. They are cheap plastic and break easily. I hate these knobs and they are very expensive to replace. I would not prefer this product to anyone.

Cheap plastic knobs are all broken

Bought this stovetop a few years ago and one-by-one, the knobs have all broken due to the cheap plastic base. Until they fix this faulty part, I would recommend finding a different stove top. Check out the review section for the knobs to see more info on this issue from other buyers.

Love stove top, cheap plastic knobs

Bought this model several years ago, love the size. I have the griddle that is useful. For this to be such a nice cooktop can't imagine why they would sell it with cheap plastic knobs. Within 6 months I had 4 broken knobs. Have not replaced because they are so expensive, I just change around the ones that aren't broken. I am very very careful when removing them to clean.

I use this EVERY DAY!

My wife and I try and cook dinner together because we both enjoy the time together so much. We use the range EVERY DAY. The grates are a little heavy for her, but I can easily take them off and clean underneath very easily. We like that you can put it in alarm mode, so when you are not intentionally turning a knob, it lets you know. Also, we got a griddle pan WITH the appliance and it works with the two burners in tandem on the left side. Also, the power boiler on the big burner makes water boil FAST! No more watching water heat up... We have really enjoyed cooking together on this range and there is plenty of room for both of us to stand in front and cook on it. Thanks GE, this is a winner!

Plastic knobs break in less than a year

We've bought this Mar'16. The first one broke off within 6 months. Now after almost 16 months 3 of 5 knobs came off. Its made out of brittle plastic and with normal use you will crack a knob every couple of months. When I took a broken knob and inspected the plastic, I could see that it already began decaying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Absolutely beautiful!!!

We have owned ours for over 4 months now and we are completely satisfied with our cooktop. Our old cooktop was a GE electric porcelain cooktop and WE HATED IT! This cooktop does exactly what it is advertised to do. We have no problems with the flames or the rapid boil function. We fry on it about once a week and it is a breeze to clean up after grease splatters. It still looks new and the blue light from underneath the knobs is cool as heck to look at!
