Need improvment, not As great !

I baught this GE profile 36", stove, it looks great however some of the observation below. The berner is too low than grill which caused the pot get too hot (handles) and longer time to cook. They need to make sure pot is sitting close to burner to save the energy the get 5 start
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Who would ever think that you can fall in love with a cooktop? It is superior to anything I have ever cooked on. People have commented on the beauty of this model, and on how its elegant appearance enhances my kitchen. The gas flames and various sizes of burners allow for fine tuning to adapt to all types and sizes of cookware. The distance from flame to pan, which is higher than normal, seems to be conducive to more even heating of the pan, without hot spots. I love to cook, and with this appliance I feel like a chef in my own kitchen! The only negative is that we have propane gas, and the dual valve for use with the griddle doesn't seem to work with this type of gas, so we don't get to enjoy that feature.

We bought this stove when we switched to gas and are very pleased with it. I especially like the middle burner where I can boil water in record time. Griddle can be used with such ease. Absolutely love this stove.

Best Cooktop for the dollar

Installs easily. Cleans with a damp cloth. Easy to operate and the knobs light up when something is on! Lots of flame in that middle burner for large pots. Integrated grill is a good size, works well, and stores easily.

Great variety of burners

the variety of burner sizes including the power boil allows for all types of cooking, including a long, slow simmer . unfortunately, the original cook top had to be returned because the cooktop was offset from the control knobs which would have allowed any oversplatter of oil or any food or spice/herb particles to fall inside where they could not be cleaned. the replacement cooktop works very well. unfortunately, all the products I ordered from GE thru the distributor in phoenix required repair.

I love the appearance and performance of the stove. It is steardy and beautiful and cooks well. Because of the height of the burners my food does not burn even on very high flames.
