Great cooktop, poor control knob quality

Purchased and installed this unit 12/2014. love the performance/appearance but have had two failures of the control knob--first in May 2016 and the last on 11/22/2016. Very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My husband has always wanted a gas grill. WE love this grill! I think it is ashame that we are being encouraged to buy a warranty package on an appliance we have only had for 5 months. No confidence vote in american products not built to last!

Poor Quality of key parts

The gas range overall is very good quality with the exception of the "Range Knob Assembly". It is a poorly designed plastic assembly that will brake within months, making the whole gas range literally useless, unless you buy overpriced replacement parts.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Professional appearance in the kitchen. Fantastic burners, rapid boiling, and perfect even heating of pans. Glad we upgraded to the Cafe series.

Main burner broken after 1 year (warranty expired)

I bought this Aug 2015 based on many reviews and really regret it. The central (main) burner has stopped working. It became very stiff to operate (the actual shaft that controls gas flow) and the control knob broke. The warranty is for only one year so it is out of warranty. I'm beyond disappointed that an appliance that costs as much as it does did not last much past a year - in fact 6 weeks past the warranty expiration!
The 'service' call will be expensive just to get someone out. Parts and labor are extra. Do not buy. I'll be communicating this to others.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great cooktop

I bought this product a few months ago and I am very pleased with not only the functional aspects but it is also very nice looking. Installation was a breeze as I was replacing an old cooktop, so it only took 20 minutes to install! The burner light quickly and burn evenly. I look forward to using the cooktop for years to come.

We've been using this cooktop for almost a year. The only complaint is that it takes a long time to boil except on the burner for large pots.
