I have been cooking on my Café Cooktop for about ten months. I can't imagine any feature that could be added that could possibly make it better.

Nice Cooktop

Sharp looking cooktop. I would have liked the grates to be closer to the burners. If this is a replacement coooktop fr a older unit make sure you measure twice. The older cooktops had larger cutouts.

Phenomenal Cook Top

We bought this cook top to replace a 9 year old GE Profile cooktop during a kitchen remodeling effort. This cooktop is really incredible and we especially love the middle burner for boiling water. I am amazed at how easily and quickly the burners ignite. In our old house we had a 5 year old GE cooktop but it took maneuvering the burner controls to get the burners to ignite - nothing like this one!

Takes too long

Heating takes too long, grates too far apart to easily balance small pots like espresso pots, and gap between flame and pot is huge

More cooking time

Though the burners are of higher BTU, it is taking more cooking time than my old GE gas cooktop because the grills are sitting higher on the flame making the distance between the flame and the bottom of the utensil more. This is also causing another headache. The handle of my OTC microwave is getting heated up - which I never experienced with my old cooktop. GE should have thought of these issues when the designed this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Disappointing! we are NOT able to cook food since we bought this cook-top about 3 weeks ago.
The flames on all four side burners are a long distance from the bottoms of the cookware, even on full high setting, it takes longer to boil 1 cup of water.
We have had gas ranges/cook tops before, this one is the least efficient of any at heating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
