Great Counter Top Range

We bought this a month ago and so far so good. It works as advertised and can boil a pot of water in a hurry on the center burner. Cleans up fairly easy too.

poor quality and durability

Had to replace 5 total knobs. They are plastic and broke after removing them to clean the cooktop. Also have problems with burners getting stuck on and have had to purchase several replacement valves. I've submitted below average review on this and the moderator screened it probably because its not positive, so if this gets screened again, I will be submitting a letter to GE directly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wish we'd have gone to gas years ago. What a difference! So happy with the product and its many practical features! Food just tastes better as it gets consistent, even heat!

We purchased this cook top as part of a kitchen remodel and we love it! We went from a 4 burner to this 5 burner. The design is attractive and it is easy to clean! my last stainless cook top was always streaky, but this one shines right up.

Low Heat, Hard to Clean, Unreliable

The first thing we noticed was that the burners did not heat as much as our older (non-GE) product. Next, we found it is hard to clean. The grills have a lot of angled surfaces and take awhile to hit thoroughly with the scrub sponge. Also, to clean the cooktop you need to remove the knobs and burner covers. Quite a chore! Last, and least acceptable, we had to burners break after only two months. They became very hard to twist and one of the knobs broke (internally) while twisting. Don't buy!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
